Hi, I’m Rob Kajiwara, an Asian / Native American – Hawaiian composer, visual artist, filmmaker, pro baseball player, and human rights activist. If you like, please visit me at my website, www.robkajiwara.com
Christianity is often portrayed as a white, male-dominated judgmental American religion, but actually it is Middle Eastern/Asian in origin, and was intended to be a universal way of living in truth, joy, love, grace, hope, faith, and forgiveness. As an Asian/Pacific Islander/Native American having both a Christian and traditional indigenous spiritual background, I have been exposed to both sides and have a different take on spirituality than most. But how does the Creator really intend for us to live?
This, along with many other questions, are things I ponder. This blog contains some of my personal musings that I have put down in writing.
“I am a stranger here on earth; do not hide your commands from me.” Psalm 119:19
“All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.” Hebrews 11:13
The title of this blog came from maestro Nelson Del Pino, my producer-manager, who characterized my style of writing as that of an alien experiencing earth.
I am not of this world, but I belong to my Creator. As such, I am really an alien here on earth.
John 15:19 – If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
